What does the call list hygiene tool do?
The call list hygiene tool cleans a list of phone numbers in your browser: it strips spaces and prefixes, standardises Indian mobile numbers, removes duplicates and flags entries that cannot be valid. It does not check the national do-not-disturb register. That check needs your telecom provider or the official process.
What it fixes
- Spaces, dashes and brackets inside numbers.
- Prefixes such as +91, 91 and a leading 0.
- Duplicates, kept once.
- Entries that are not ten digits, or do not start with 6, 7, 8 or 9.
What it does not do
It cannot tell whether a number is on the do-not-disturb register, whether the person consented, or whether the number is active. Those checks are your responsibility, using consented sources, your own suppression list and the official process through your provider.
Your list never leaves your browser, so it is safe to paste, but do not paste data you are not entitled to handle.
